My journey with yoga has been a long and fun one! I grew up in South Jersey where dance and theatre were very popular. From around age 2 to 21 I had an extensive and exclusive dance background, ranging from jazz, tap, ballet, modern, point, lyrical and hip-hop. When I moved to LA in 2010, I took a break from dance and started exploring other ways to move my body and in 2015 I found One Down Dog and fell in love with yoga.
Yoga and dance felt very similar to me and I didn’t want to give up my dance background, and was thrilled that ODD was a space where yoga was not only a great way to get a good stretch and get that workout in, but that yoga could be fun!
I loved ODD and yoga so much that I took my practice even further and in 2016 I worked the front desk for a year before I moved to Santa Barbara to finish my BA in Film and Media Studies. When I moved back to LA in 2019, I knew that my life was missing a major piece of community and I instantly came back to ODD as a student. Now a few years later, I’m back working the front desk again and couldn’t be happier :)
