Favorite Song/Artist:
Depends on my mood and situation, but I like listening to alternative R&B, soul/neo-soul, house, hip hop, and alternative/indie pop.
Odd Fact:
Many people have four front/incisor teeth on their lower jaw — I was born with only three! #morespaceforwisdom
My Class Style:
My classes are welcoming, choice-oriented, and accessible, while still offering thoughtful and creative challenges along the way. I lean strongly into the feeling of "flow" that energetically defines a vinyasa practice, maintaining a steady and lively pace that supports focus and embodied presence. I offer frequent affirmation, do my best to uplift the diversity of bodies and experiences in the room, and use inclusive language (gender-neutral, culturally sensitive, etc.). I care deeply about cultivating a supportive environment where students feel seen and respected.
I am a Vinyasa yoga practitioner (since 2013) and a yoga instructor who teaches to facilitate transformation and self-empowerment. I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training with One Down Dog in 2023 and have been teaching at ODD ever since. As a lifelong student committed to deepening my knowledge of yoga and refining my teaching practice, I continually seek opportunities to grow through ongoing yoga education, including a 20-hour Yin YTT, a hands-on adjustment workshop, and "Foundations of Decolonizing Yoga with Dr. Sheena Sood" workshop, among others. Oriented toward social justice, I teach body-positive, racial trauma-informed Vinyasa yoga classes. I strive to make my classes equitably inclusive, to center care, and to be a sincere teacher. Off the mat, I am a dance scholar and educator, cat mom, and enjoy exploring the L.A. food scene.
