**SOLD OUT** STAY TUNED FOR THE SPRING DEATH AWARENESS WORKSHOP
Despite being the one certainty we all share, most people tend to contemplate death only in reaction—to the news, a diagnosis, or the loss of a loved one. Our reflections are often clouded by attachments and expectations. Yet there’s profound liberation in inviting death to the table before we “have to.” By proactively opening these conversations, we can reduce anxiety, gain clarity about what awaits us all, and cultivate more gratitude and presence in our daily lives.
This year, in honor of Día de los Muertos, we’ll come together to reflect on mortality with openness, curiosity, and reverence. This workshop is for anyone who wishes to explore death in a safe, non-judgmental space. We’ll approach it from emotional, spiritual, and practical angles, leaving participants with tools and perspectives they can carry both on and off the mat.
In yoga, we practice truthfulness, contentment, and surrender—qualities that are just as essential in accepting our mortality. Here, we’ll bring those teachings into our reflections on death, learning to live—and die—with presence and grace.
This 120-minute workshop includes:
Gentle asana to stretch + ground
A death meditation
Journaling prompts followed by group discussion
Practical guidance on end-of-life planning
What to bring:
A journal or notebook
Yoga mat
A small physical item for your altar (stone, jewelry, photo, etc.)—you’ll get it back
By coming together as a community, we can share hopes and fears, clarify what matters most, and make things easier for our loved ones. Embracing death in this conscious way allows us to live more fully.
No prior experience with death and dying is required. While all feelings are welcome, this workshop is not recommended for those experiencing acute or active grief.
