Get on to your head to get out of your head.

Headstands might look intimidating, but with the right tools and guidance, they can be a fun, empowering, and even meditative part of your yoga practice. In this workshop, we’ll break down the building blocks of headstand step by step—preparing your body, learning how to safely lift off, and yes, even how to fall with confidence.

You’ll get hands-on experience exploring what it feels like to go upside down, while building strength, balance, and trust in your body. By the end, you’ll walk away with the knowledge (and the muscle memory!) to continue practicing headstands safely and playfully on your own.

Led by Meghan Lastra, a 1000-hour certified Hatha yoga teacher with over a decade of teaching experience, this workshop is designed to make headstands accessible for everyone. Whether you’re brand-new to going upside down or looking to refine your practice, you’ll discover how slowing down, breaking things into simple steps, and listening to your body can open the door to something greater.

All you need to bring is yourself—the rest you’ll learn through practice.

Cost: $55 (Unlimited discount automatically applied at checkout)

Before spending extended time upside down, keep these tips in mind:
  • Check your health first. Inversions can raise blood pressure and eye pressure, so avoid them if you have hypertension, glaucoma, heart concerns, or other medical conditions.
  • Practice on an empty stomach. Wait at least 1–2 hours after eating to prevent nausea or reflux.
  • Ease in gradually. Start with shorter holds and build up slowly. Come out of the pose carefully to avoid dizziness.
  • Stay safe. Use proper setup, consider having a spotter, and stop if you feel discomfort, pressure, or lightheadedness.

When in doubt, check with your doctor before practicing extended inversions.
