Katonah Yoga® incorporates classical Hatha Yoga with Taoist theory, sacred geometry, mythology, metaphor, and imagination in a practical framework designed to potentiate personal and communal well-being.
The first 15 who sign up will receive a 2023 Katonah Yoga Calendar!
In this 90-minute workshop we will reexamine, reflect, and refine our Vinyasa practice through the Theory of Katonah Yoga®. Incorporating the themes of asana as origami, manipulating form for function, and developing a sense of personal measure, we will begin with a brief lecture on Katonah Yoga® theory leading into a dynamic asana practice, followed by a balancing breathwork and meditation session.
By virtue of framing up our practice with maps of time and space, our technique gives us the opportunity to experience life with intelligence and joy. Let your body, powered by the breath, ignite your imagination to access the big picture overview.
This workshop is open to all practitioners.
About the Instructor
Felipe Gonzalez is a 500 hour ERYT and Katonah Yoga® teacher.
"Drawn to the practices of Vinyasa Krama, Bhakti, and Katonah Yoga® my practices are rooted in an integration of breath, body, and imagination. I have also spent the last five years learning, exploring, and holding conversations at the intersections of yoga and social justice. I lead classes, workshops, retreats, and trainings both locally and internationally. My greatest wish is to guide my students with an artist's soul and a healer's heart."
