Welcome the season with our first community hike of the year—an intentional morning in nature at one of Griffith Park’s quieter treasures, Amir’s Garden.
As spring begins to unfold, guide Zoe Benson will lead us along gentle trails and soft climbs, inviting a slower pace and spacious presence. This equinox moment—when light and dark meet in balance—offers a natural pause point: a chance to reflect, reset, and step forward with clarity.
We’ll begin at the trailhead with a brief grounding breath practice to release winter heaviness and arrive fully. From there, we’ll hike together toward Amir’s Garden, taking in fresh air, new growth, and the kind of expansive views that remind us how restorative it can be to simply walk side by side.
At the garden overlook, we’ll settle in for a mindful pause:
Breathwork to gently energize and focus
An optional guided journaling prompt centered on sustainable intentions for spring
Reflection on moving from Pisces’ inward renewal into Aries’ steady momentum—choosing what’s worth nurturing, and what you’re ready to begin
We’ll close together in community, honoring both the literal and metaphorical seeds of the season. Each participant will receive a small seed packet to take home—a simple reminder that meaningful growth happens with care and consistency.
This hike is an invitation to connect: with nature, with yourself, and with others in our community.
Please bring water, comfortable walking shoes, sun protection, and any journaling tools you enjoy.
This special equinox edition of our seasonal hike series is open to all.
Pre-registration is required by Thursday, March 19.
Registered participants will receive a detailed email on Friday, March 20 with meet-up location, parking information, what to expect, weather updates, and more.
