Spend a day with us as we explore yoga through the lenses of trauma-informed and social justice.
The first three hours will be dedicated to trauma-informed yoga. This introduction to trauma-informed yoga offers a physiological and integrative framework for understanding how trauma and chronic stress impact the body and mind. This session will specifically focus on yoga, mindfulness, somatic practices, and meditation and their ability to reduce trauma and stress symptoms while cultivating a greater sense of well-being.
In the last half of the day, we will explore how yoga and social justice go hand in hand. We'll gain a better understanding of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion principles, how they show up in yoga philosophy, and how to integrate DEI work and yoga to create a better world.
This workshop is open to all!
