2020 Impact Report: Fundraising

Mar 16th, 2021 caitlin Blog, Impact

Fundraisers, donations, and community support has always been foundational at One Down Dog. This year online was no different. You all rallied together to support various causes as well as each other. Check out how much ODD donated, how much you raised, and how many individuals have access to yoga thanks to your dedication and support to the One Down Dog community.

From ODD's Community to ODD's Community:

Your donations this year have not only kept us afloat with studios to come back to but also kept people practicing and growing their yoga practice. Mutual aid is our biggest tool for support. Here's where you gave yoga or where yoga was given away in challenges!

Over $10,000 raised for our ODD Student Fund and BIPOC YTT Scholarship.

85 people received help for their memberships due to your donations to the ODDfund.

4 women received help from the BIPOC Yoga Teacher Training Scholarship.

3 people won 30 days of online yoga from various challenges (#OneDownDogDaysOfSumme, BE A FRIEND, BRING A FRIEND, Heat Sh*t Up)

2 people won a year of on demand from our raffle.

1 person won a year online, on demand, and in person from our raffle.

One Down Dog's Regular or Independent Donations:

Here are the places we give either one time donations or monthly donations to. Each of these hold a place in our hearts from Miry a student who "accidentally founded" a non profit to help refugee families settle in the USA to JFLA who is responsible for the grant that helped us start One Down Dog years ago. We recommend picking any org that means something to you and donate a little each month!

$1205.60 - Miry's List. ($350 from our annual Xmas day class)

$200 - BLM

$220 - AWARELA

$485 - NAACP

$1,500.00  - SIJCC

$1824.28 - JFLA

$300 - LA Food Bank

$25 - 5GYRES.ORG

$20 - World Central Kitchen

$100 - Youth In Distress In Israel

Total donations outside of ODD in 2020 = over $14,000

We are SO proud of this community. May this list be an inspiration for all the things we can do in the year ahead!
