Day 24 – excited

Nov 15th, 2012 jessica Uncategorized

day24

Turning 30 seemed like it would be scary. When I was young, I honestly never pictured myself past 25. 30 seemed old. And now here it is…right around the corner. Less than a week away and I feel young, liberated, free, full of potential, empowered and overall fucking AWESOME! I am excited to see what’s coming – I know that it is going to be something more wonderful than I can even imagine. I know that something brilliant is coming.

Tonight I attended a Young Female Entrepreneur meetup hosted by the magnificent Erin of Well in LA and was so inspired to not only meet a ton of women living their dreams and making shit happen, but to hear the lovely Emily Greener speak about I Am That Girl - an organization inspiring girls to discover their innate worth and purpose.  I Am That Girl rocks and I can't wait to get involved - super inspiring.  The fire that’s been burning under my ass got a little hotter, the wheels started turning - I am pumped to change the world …One Down Dog at a time!

I have had a tendency to keep myself stuck, to get weighted down with self-doubt.  Tonight one of the women I met suggested that I start talking about my plans and ideas - she reminded me about the momentum that creates.  So here it is: One Down Dog will not only be a place to come together and practice yoga - it will be a place to connect and get real with one another.  It will be a place that empowers others to pursue their dreams, a place that supports its members, that utilizes the practice of yoga to give back, inspire and awaken.  And this place wherever it is, whatever it looks like will open in less than a year.  YES IT WILL!!

5 more days :)
