If you're into early 2000's playlists, carefully placed and paced alignment cues, and a side salad of silliness and crystal singing bowls, look no further than Dylan Wallace's classes! In YIN, MEDITATE, FLOW, and SLOW FLOW, Dylan will keep it real, 100, and humble. He's not afraid to admit that his inversions haven't made it away from the wall just yet, but he's got an affirmation for that: My best is all I can ever do, and it will always be enough.

Of the many reasons to love Dylan, we have a deep appreciation for his connection with the queer community, whether on the mat or behind the bar at Akbar. I’m a sober bartender

One thing you're working on in your personal practice right now?

One day I hope to take my inversions away from the wall, until then I’m adding more self compassion and meditation into my practice.

Where are you when you're not on the mat?

You might spot me at my other place of work, Akbar, hiking in Griffith, cuddling with my kitties at home, binge gaming, or… taking a nice long nap!

Favorite food or restaurant?

I looove Thai food since they have so many filling and delicious vegan options… but it’s no secret that I love to scarf down a huge chipotle burrito.

Something that inspires you?

My mom is the most compassionate, caring, and loving human I know.

What initially inspired you to become a yoga instructor?

People would ask me how I stay so calm when it’s crazy at work, and I would tell them yoga! We live in chaotic times, but yoga teaches us that peace resides inside. I want to help as many people as possible find their inner peace to inspire real change in the world.

Where are you inviting play into your practice/day to day?

It’s no secret that I love making people laugh. I keep it silly at all times of the day (most times, can’t always be that way).

If your students take home ONE lesson from your class, what do you hope it is?

Your strength comes from deep inside of you.

What song/album/playlist do you have on repeat right now?

One affirmation you always come back to?

My best is all I can ever do, and it will always be enough.

How are you feeling good these days?

I get a full body massage every two weeks. Chill out in the hot tub after teaching, and take epsom salt baths regularly. Self-care and self-love are incredibly important in keeping my mood positive and being able to show up for others.
